Salt Spring has its own land-use bylaw, Bylaw 355. It is the longest book in this set.
A tent is a camping unit
A tent, a trailer, or a camper that travellers bring, while they still have a home somewhere else, is a camping unit. That list does not include a mobile home or a manufactured home.

A manufactured home is a different object
A manufactured home is a dwelling built to a factory standard called CSA A277. The bylaw says that word also includes mobile homes. Salt Spring even has special lots for them, with rules about skirting.
